This policy explains what personal data we collect about you when you visit inboundry.co.uk, fill in a form, request a demo, or become a client. It also tells you how we use that data, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it.
We've tried to write it the way we'd want it written if we were reading it. No legalese for the sake of it.
When you fill in a form on the site (contact, request-a-demo, or book-a-call), we collect the information you give us: typically your name, business name, trade, town or city, phone number, email, and any message you send.
We use this to respond to your enquiry, build your demo, and to keep you up to date if you ask us to.
When you become a client, we collect the additional details we need to build and run your website. That includes things like your business address, service area, photos of your work, certifications, payment details, and anything else you choose to share with us. We process this on the basis that we need it to deliver the service you've asked us to provide.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and our analytics tool (Cloudflare Web Analytics) collect aggregated, anonymised data about visits to the site. This is cookieless and doesn't identify you personally. We use it to understand which pages are useful and where the site needs improvement.
If we ever switch on Google Analytics 4 (we haven't, at the date of this policy), we'll only do so after you've given consent through the cookie banner. See our Cookies policy for the live list.
Under UK GDPR Article 6, we rely on one of the following depending on the situation:
We don't sell your data. We don't share it for marketing. We only share it with the small number of suppliers we need to run the business.
| Supplier | What they do | Where they're based |
|---|---|---|
| Formspree | Receives form submissions from the website and forwards them to us | United States, with UK-approved data transfer safeguards in place |
| Cloudflare | Hosting, security, and cookieless analytics | United States and EU regions |
| GoDaddy | Domain registration | United States, with UK-approved data transfer safeguards |
| Google (if enabled) | Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile management. Loaded only after you've consented. | United States, with UK-approved data transfer safeguards |
| Your bank / our payment processor | Card and direct-debit processing for clients | UK and EU |
| HMRC | Tax and VAT reporting | UK |
Each of these is a data processor acting on our instructions, or a regulator we're legally required to share information with. We've checked their privacy and security arrangements before working with them.
Some of the suppliers above are based outside the UK. Where that's the case, we rely on the UK government's "adequacy" decisions, or the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with UK addendum, to make sure your data is protected to the same standard as it is in the UK.
We only keep your data for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it.
If you'd like us to delete your data sooner, see "Your rights" below.
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights. We respond to any reasonable request within one calendar month.
To exercise any of these, email info@inboundry.co.uk. We won't charge you for a reasonable request. We may need to verify your identity before we can act on it.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office:
We'd appreciate the chance to put it right before you escalate, but you don't have to come to us first.
We use very few cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. If we ever switch on Google Analytics, it'll only run after you've given consent through the cookie banner. See our Cookies policy for the live list and how to manage them.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. The site runs on Cloudflare's network with TLS encryption end-to-end. Form submissions are encrypted in transit. Our admin tools use multi-factor authentication. We keep our software up to date. No system is ever completely secure, but if we ever became aware of a breach affecting your data, we'd tell you and the ICO within 72 hours where required.
This site isn't aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think we've collected data from a child, tell us and we'll delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change suppliers, add new services, or if the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page tells you when. Material changes will be flagged on the site for a reasonable period.
