The story

Twenty-eight years in south-west London. Two generations on every site.

Dave started Crofton Builders in 1997 from a unit on Lavender Hill. Single-storey extensions and bathroom refurbs for the most part, building up by word of mouth across Clapham, Battersea and Putney. By 2005 we were doing whole-house refurbs and our first lofts. By 2010 we had a permanent crew of six.

Tom joined straight out of college in 2014, did his NVQ on the tools, and took on the day-to-day site running in 2019. Dave still does every survey and every structural call. Tom runs the site, the schedule, the apprentices, and the back office. Two of us on every job, one of us always there.

When you ring this number you get one of us. Same number for the snag list. Same crew throughout the build. No subbing-out without telling you, no commission structures, no salespeople.
