Hi, we're Dave and Tom. Father and son. South-west London since 1997.

Dad started Crofton Builders in 1997. I joined in 2014 after college and we've been running it together ever since. The same crew Dad built up over the years is still on every job, plus a couple of younger lads he trained.

You get both of us on every project. Dad on the surveys and the structural decisions, me on the day-to-day and the modern stuff. One phone number. Two Croftons. Always one of us on site.

What customers ask before they book.

Are you fixed-price or day-rate? +
Fixed-price for the whole project, written down before any work starts. If something genuinely unexpected comes up (rotten joists hidden under a floor, that kind of thing), we tell you straight, send photos, and quote the variation. No surprise invoices at the end.
How long until you can start? +
We book about six months ahead. As of today we have slots opening from October. The site visit and quote can happen this week though.
Do you handle planning and party-wall? +
Yes. We work with an architect and a structural engineer we've used for years. We handle the LABC sign-off in-house. Party-wall awards are handled by a separate surveyor (we recommend two we trust).
What guarantee do you offer? +
Ten-year workmanship guarantee on extensions and lofts, backed by the FMB insurance-backed warranty. Two-year guarantee on renovations and refurbishments.
